Clarissa is a proud Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara (Mutitjulu/Uluru NT regions) and Anmatyerre (Ti Tree NT regions) woman with Warumungu (Tennant Creek) and Narungga (Yorke Peninsula/Point Pearce SA) connections. 

Clarissa joined the AILC in May 2023, based in Darwin, Northern Territory on Larrakia Country. She has experience as a trainer and assessor in previous roles and has worked across the Northern Territory. 

She is driven to be a part of building self-determination and leadership amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through education and mentoring. Her previous experience has been with community-based research projects based on health issues identified by community.  She has worked alongside communities to raise awareness and promote good health and wellbeing in culturally appropriate ways. Clarissa is passionate about pursuing a career that continues to help people.
